Planners endeavour to retain and manage existing habitats. By working closely with local planning departments it is possible to enhance surroundings. But Chater Homes go further. By working with the local authorities using a creative sympathetic approach, an enhanced environment for the community can be achieved. The result is somewhere attractive and desirable to live which is in harmony with its environment. Trees and natural features are retained as boundaries and new plantings are introduced as often as possible. Arborists are used to assist where needed while additional planting will mature in keeping with existing surroundings. See “Achievements” for examples.
